1. Dhanraj Bhagat (1917-1988): Journey from the Physical to the Spiritual”, Exhibition Inaugurated at NGMA, Mumbai Exhibition open for the public from July 4 - August 14, 2018.

A special exhibition titled “Dhanraj Bhagat (1917-1988): Journey from the Physical to the Spiritual” has been inaugurated at National Gallery of Modern Art (NGMA), Mumbai yesterday. The exhibition is being organized to pay tributes to the great pioneering artist, this being his centenary year. At a time when artists were trying to break away from the shackles of academic realism, Dhanraj Bhagat carved his own niche above the rest, with his true versatility in handling various unconventional mediums whether it is clay, wood, metal or cement, all mixed generously with his sincere dedication towards the craft.

2. The 5th RCEP inter-sessional ministerial meeting was held in Tokyo, Japan. It was the first RCEP ministerial meeting to be held outside ASEAN countries. It was co-chaired by Trade and Industry Minister of Singapore's Chan Chun Singh and his Japanese counterpart Hiroshige Sekko. During the meeting, the members of the participating countries had made a detailed discussion on trade, service, investment, and regulations.

3. The Cabinet Committee on Economic Affairs chaired by Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi has approved the proposal for expanding the scope of Higher Education Financing Agency (HEFA) by enhancing its capital base to Rs. 10,000 crore and tasking it to mobilize Rs. 1,00,000 crore for Revitalizing Infrastructure and Systems in Education (RISE) by 2022.

4. NABARD has sanctioned Rs 735.53 crore in the 1st quarter of the current fiscal under the Rural Infrastructure Development Fund for West Bengal for facilitating the execution of 86 projects.
