How to prepare for Indian Navy?

For Maths section, it is best to be thorough with 11th and 12th CBSE syllabus and problems. Attempting a test series helps. Important topics for mathematics include complex numbers, logarithms, circles, trigonometry, logarithmic series, probability function and statistics.

Science section calls for a good knowledge of science at 10+2 level. It is believed to be a section that lets a candidate get good marks with more ease. A few of the important syllabus topics include motion of system, kinematics, electrostatics, organic chemistry, electromagnetic waves, and computer science.

For English section, knowledge of basic grammar is helpful. The syllabus involves use of adjectives, active to passive, synonyms, antonyms, correction of sentences and punctuation.

General awareness section becomes easier to solve with a high awareness about current affairs. This should involve appointments, recent issues, agreements, defense, awards and visits. Syllabus for general awareness includes freedom movement, championships, flags, capitals, currencies, authors, personalities and abbreviations.

A physical fitness test (PFT) also forms an important part of qualifying for navy AA and SSR examinations. It calls for a 1.6 km run to be completed in 7 minutes, 20 squat ups and 10 pushups.
