Each year on the 29th August National Sports Day is celebrated across the world. This day marks the birthday of Major Dhyan Chand Singh, the hockey player who won gold medals in 1928, 1932, and 1936 Olympics. During his hockey career, he scored 570 goals from 1926-49.
