Pakistani NSA Nasir Janjua Resigns Before Election


Pakistan's National Security Advisor Lt Gen Nasir Janjua has resigned from his post before the general elections to be held on 25th July. The caretaker government has taken full responsibility. For this reason, Janjua has resigned from his post.

He took over the position of Sartaj Aziz on October 23, 2015. According to the local media, Jangua was the second man who took charge of the NSA after being in the army. Prior to them, Mahmud Durrani only became an NSA after being in the army.

Elections will be held in Pakistan on July 25, before the former Chief Justice of Pakistan, Nasirul Mulk has the responsibility of the caretaker Prime Minister for an interim period of two months. Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi also resigned from his post before NSAJanuja. The term of the present government of PAK was completed on May 31.
