Time Limit for Linking to Aadhar Card can Increases

The central government has told the Supreme Court that the time limit for linking the government services and welfare schemes with the need may be increased beyond March 31. After filing a PIL in court against the timing of the Aadhar link,  The Attorney General K K Venugopal told the Constitution bench of the Supreme Court that the Center has extended the deadline for the Aadhar link in the past and can do so further.

In December last year, the country's top court had told the government that the time limit for linking the Aadhaar with bank accounts and mobile phones should be increased by March 31. The time limit is coming closer to the Aadhaar link, while the hearing is going on.
