Users of e-commerce, such as Amazon and Flipkart, may receive an exemption from the need to generate an electronic account in accordance with the Goods and Services Tax (GST) if there are multiple deliveries in the same trip. This bill is planned to be introduced on April 1 for interstate transportation of goods worth not less than 50,000 rupees and in stages for interstate movements later.
This is one of the proposals that should be submitted to the GST Council on March 10. The Council will also take other measures to simplify the electronic path. In connection with the sectoral demand, many changes in the electronic account are being discussed. The idea is to eliminate the difficulties that companies face.
