12 Million People Do Not have Food, On the Brink of Hunger

The United Nations said that millions of people have reached the brink of death due to hunger around the world. The number of these people increased to 12 Crore 40 Lakh from last year. If these people do not get food soon, they are at risk of death. David Beasley, head of the United Nations Food Agency, said, "That's because people do not even shy away from shooting each other."

David Beasley told the Security Council on Friday through a video link, "Nearly 30 million people fighting hunger are living in four struggling countries - Somalia, Yemen, South Sudan and northeast Nigeria. These countries were rescued from last year's famine situation.
