The First Indian Dictionary of the Sign Language of 3000 Words Launched


The Ministry of Social Justice & Empowerment has launched India's first Sign Language Dictionary of 3000. This dictionary has been developed by Indian Sign Language Research & Training Centre. It was launched by Shri Thaawarchand Gehlot. This dictionary has focused on providing more information in Indian Sign Language. The basic aim of developing the ISL Dictionary is to remove communications barriers between the deaf and hearing communities as it is focused on providing more information in Indian sign language.
