Journalists Holding Yellow Cards in Punjab Receive a Random Insurance Coverage Worth 5 Lakh Rupees

The Punjab government led by CM Captain Amarinder Singh approved the extension of the facility of accidental insurance cover to nearly accredited 4200 media persons with yellow cards. Notably, from now onwards yellow card holder journalist would be covered under accidental insurance to the tune of Rs. 5 lakh. The extension of the facility of accidental insurance cover to media persons holding yellow cards was amongst Captain Amarinder Singh’s poll promises.  A spokesperson of the Chief Minister’s Office said that every accredited and yellow card holder journalist in the state would be covered under accidental insurance to the tune of Rs. 5 lakh.
