1. BrahMos supersonic cruise missile was successfully test-fired from a mobile launcher from Integrated Test Range (ITR) at Balasore (Chandipur), Odisha to validate some new features aimed at increasing its life from 10 to 15 years.

6. On May 21st, 2018 State-run EESL (Energy Efficiency Service Limited) has announced that it has distributed over 30 crores LED bulbs across the country under government's Ujala Scheme. The distribution of LED bulbs has helped in saving energy of over 38,952 kWh annually amounting to Rs. 15,581 crore.
7. The Reserve Bank of India has imposed a penalty of Rs. 50,000/- on Universal Co-operative Urban Bank, Mancherial, Telangana. The penalty has been imposed on the bank as it had violated RBI’s directive and guidelines on loans and advances to directors and their relatives.
