Arvind Kumar appointed as New Director of IB

  • Arvind Kumar has been appointed as the new Chief of Intelligence Bureau (IB).
  • He is the 1984 batch cadre IPS officer from Assam-Meghalaya.
  • Arvind Kumar will succeed Rajiv Jain as IB Chief and will assume his charge on 30th June 2019.
  • In another appointment, Samant Kumar Goel has been appointed as the head of RAW. Goel will succeed Anil Dhasmana.
