Arvind Kumar appointed as New Director of IB

Arvind Kumar has been appointed as the new Chief of Intelligence Bureau (IB).
He is the 1984 batch cadre IPS officer from Assam-Meghalaya.
Arvind Kumar will succeed Rajiv Jain as IB Chief and will assume his charge on 30th June 2019.
In another appointment, Samant Kumar Goel has been appointed as the head of RAW. Goel will succeed Anil Dhasmana.
