Puducherry Smart City Development will introduce a Bicycle Sharing Scheme in the upcoming months in Puducherry.
The registered users can use bicycles to hop from one place to another. The bicycles can be left at any of the docking stations after use.
Under this scheme, around 100 places have been identified for Bicycle Docking Stations.
20 docking stations will include 10 to 15 bicycle each, Bicycles will be set up in places like beach promenade, Bharathi Park, Gandhi Thidal, Aurobindo ashram, and railway station.
This scheme is one among the 22 prioritized schemes of the Puducherry Smart City Project for which about Rs 194 crore would be spent.
