1. For the first time in Russia, independent elections were held on March 27, 1989. In the initial results of the Soviet era, millions of voters rejected communist candidates. The final results of the elections for 1,500 seats were also as expected. Many senior leaders of the Communist Party had to face defeat in the elections.
2. Independence Day is celebrated every year on March 26 in Bangladesh. Every year on 26th March there is a national holiday in Bangladesh.
