South Africa's President Cyril Ramaphosa had to return home after leaving the Commonwealth summit in London due to violent demonstrations in the country.
According to the BBC, violent clashes are taking place in the South Western Province of South Africa, where protesters are demanding employment, cheap accommodation and the elimination of corruption. Shops are being looted, roads have been jammed and vehicles were set on fire. Neighbouring country Botswana says that they have closed the exit routes of the border with the North West Province.
