Southern Railway Recruitment 2019 - Southern Railway (SR) has released Job Notification for dynamic, self-motivated and energetic young qualified candidates for the
667 Posts of Apprentice in the designated trades at various Divisions/ Workshops/ Units in the jurisdiction of Southern Railway i.e. Tamil Nadu, Kerala, Puducherry, Andhra Pradesh, Karnataka, Lakshadweep, Andaman & Nicobar will be eligible to apply.
Vacancy Details:- Apprentices will be engaged in the following trades. The slots available in various trades with a communal break up for GOC workshop, Trichy, and Madurai Divisions are tabulated below for the information of candidates.

Minimum Academic/ Technical Qualifications
- Must have passed 10th class examination under 10 +2 system or its equivalent with minimum 50% marks in aggregate.
- Must have passed ITI Course in relevant trades from a recognized institution approved by NCVT/ SCVT
- Must have passed +2 with Science (Physics, Chemistry, and Biology) for MLT Candidates.
Note:- Minimum 50% marks in SSLC not applicable for SC/ ST/ PwBD candidates Candidates with higher qualifications viz. Diploma/ Degree and Course completed Act Apprentices are not eligible to apply.
Fee's Details (non-refundable):- Fee is to be paid through ONLINE MODE. No fee is required to be paid by SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women candidates.
Selection Procedure:- Selection will be done on the basis of %age of marks obtained by the candidates in both Matriculations (with minimum 50% marks) and ITI examination giving equal weightage to both.
For Fresher:- The average of marks obtained by the candidates in the 10th.
