Fee's Details (non-refundable)
The applicants who have got SC/ ST/ BC certificate issued by the States of Punjab, Haryana & UT Chandigarh and are also domiciled/ permanent residents of the States of Punjab, Haryana, and UT Chandigarh shall have to pay an application fee of Rs.250/-.
The applicants of Ex-Servicemen and PH categories shall have to pay (Rs.250/- All General Category/other applicants shall pay an application fee of Rs.500/-.
The fee shall be payable only by way of Demand Draft/ Indian Postal Order payable at Chandigarh in favor of Registrar General, High Court of Punjab and Haryana, Chandigarh.
Selection Procedure
Candidates shall be required to take down dictation at the speed of 80 w.p.m. in English Shorthand and to transcribe (word processing test) the same on the computer at the speed of 20 w.p.m.
No candidate shall be considered to have qualified the test if he/she commits more than 6% mistakes (of the dictated passage).
Spreadsheet test shall be only qualifying nature, of 10 marks and of 10 minutes duration.
To qualify a spreadsheet test, a candidate shall have to secure 40% or more i.e. 4 or more marks.
Select list(s) of the qualified candidates will be prepared strictly on the basis of merit in the word processing/ transcription test.
How To Apply
The eligible candidates shall submit their applications on the prescribed Performa duly filled along with annexure, original Demand Draft/ Indian Postal Order as application fee and all requisite documents in the Coordination Branch (Receipt and Despatch) of Punjab and Haryana High Court, Chandigarh - 160001.
The last date for receipt of application form is 15th January 2020 up to 05:00 P.M.
The envelope should be super-scribed with the words "Application Form for the post of "Steno Typist".
