Selection Procedure - OPTCL Recruitment 2020
The selection methodology for Management Trainee (Electrical) will comprise of the following:
Candidate should have appeared in the GATE-2020 Paper - Electrical Engineering (Paper code-EE)) having a valid score in the concerned discipline.
A valid GATE-2020 score is applicable for this recruitment in OPTCL under this advertisement. The score from GATE-2018, 2019, or from any previous GATE examination is not valid.
On the basis of the GATE-2020 score, the candidates will be short-listed in a 1:3 ratio for further selection process comprising of Personal Interview (PI) for assessment of different facets of knowledge, skills, etc.
Candidates have to essentially qualify in the GATE-2020 examination. In addition, candidates will have to separately qualify in Personal Interview (PI) successfully before being adjudged as suitable for selection.
The offer of appointment shall be issued to the selected candidates on the basis of merit. However, the final appointment of selected candidates will be subject to their medical fitness as per the prescribed standard.
On selection, candidates can be posted at any of the existing/ future units of OPTCL throughout Odisha.
Application Fee - OPTCL Recruitment 2020
UR and SEBC candidates are required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs.1000/- (Rupees one thousand) only, and
Candidates belonging to Scheduled Caste (SC) / Scheduled Tribe (ST) of Odisha only, PWD candidates are required to pay a nonrefundable fee of Rs.500/- (Rupees five hundred) only.
OPTCL departmental candidates are exempted from payment of this fee.
Candidates shall be required to make the payment of fee while filling up online application either in online mode or in offline mode i.e. through ICICI Bank Challan.

On successful registration of the online application form, a unique Registration Number will be displayed on the screen as well as at the top of the application form. Candidates are required to retain the unique Registration Number and use it for future correspondence.
