NIFT has announced recruitment notification for the post of Professor, eligible candidates can submit their application before 04-06-2021.
National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), a Statutory Body under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and a premier Institute of Fashion Education with 17 Campuses located across the country, invites applications from Indian nationals in the prescribed proforma for the post of Professor on direct recruitment on contract basis/ and on deputation basis.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification - Ph.D. from a recognized University/ Institution in a subject relevant to any of the Competencies as mentioned in Annexure-B, with at least fifteen years experience in a recognized University or Institution in teaching or research or in the relevant industry.
- Age - 50 years Maximum upper age limit for NIFT employees may be relaxed upto five years or total length of service rendered (on regular and/or long-term contract basis) whichever is less
Recruitment On Deputation
Teaching Faculty in any recognized University/ Institution under the Central Government/ State Govt., holding analogous post on regular basis orwith at least five years of regular service in Level-12 (7th CPC) with PhD from a recognized University/ Institutionin a subject relevant to any of the Competencies as mentioned in Annexure-B.
The period of deputation shall be three years. Tenure can be extended for a maximum period of two more years. The maximum upper age limit for appointment shall not exceed 56 years as of the closing date of receipt of applications.
Application Fee
- SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women candidates and NIFT employees (working on regular or long-term contracts) are exempted from payment of application fees. The candidates are required to pay the application fee of Rs. 1,180/- (Rs.1,000/- plus GST “18% i.e. Rs. 180/-) (For those who apply through direct recruitment on contract basis only) through Demand Draft/ Banker’s Cheque drawn in favor of NIFT, payable at New Delhi.
- Demand Draft should have been drawn on or after the publication of the advertisement. Applicant must write his/ her name, address, and post applied for on the back of the demand draft. The fee once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
Selection Process
Selection shall be on the basis of the performance in the personal interview or any other criteria fixed by the NIFT.
How To Apply
The application alongwith relevant documents self-attested copies in support of qualification, experience, age, caste certificate (where applicable), and non-refundable demand draft (where applicable) on account of the application fee may be forwarded to
The Registrar,NIFT Campus, Hauz Khas,Near Gulmohar Park, New Delhi- 110016 on or before
7th May 2021. The last date for submission of application forms for the following posts has been extended till
4th June 2021.
Applications not forwarded through the proper channel or those received without the requisite certificates and necessary documents, or received after the due date will not be entertained. The candidates who apply for the post will not be allowed to withdraw their candidature subsequently.
