NIFT has announced recruitment notification for the post of Assistant Professor, eligible candidates can submit their application before 06-09-2019.
NIFT Recruitment 2019 - National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), New Delhi, India has released Job notification for dynamic, self-motivated and energetic young qualified candidates for the 179 Posts of Assistant Professor on direct recruitment basis for 5-years (with the possibility of regularization following due procedure to assess performance).
NIFT hires candidates who completed Any Post-Graduate Degree or those Candidates who are seeking the latest government jobs can use this opportunity. Interested candidates are applied for the position on or before the last date of application. National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT), a statutory body under the Ministry of Textiles, Government of India and a premier Institute of Fashion Business Education with 16 Campuses located across the country.
Eligibility Criteria
- Qualification and Experience:- Post Graduate program with minimum 55% marks or equivalent grade in relevant areas with 3-years experience {including pre-qualification (post-UG degree) experience} in teaching and/or research at university/ national and international level institutions in the relevant areas or in a relevant industry.
OR
Doctoral Degree in any of the Competencies with 1-year experience {including pre-qualification (post-UG degree) experience} in a relevant industry or teaching or research in an Institute or University of national and international repute in the relevant areas.
- Age Relaxation:- The upper age limit is relaxable up to 05 years for SC/ST and 03 years for OBC as per Government of India orders.
Selection ProcedureThe selection process comprises of written test, Presentation and Interview as given below:
- Comprehensive Test (Written Examination)
i) Part-I (50 marks):- General Ability, Communication Ability, General Awareness, Analytical Ability, Test of Reasoning, Data Interpretation.
ii) Part-II (50 marks):- Professional Aptitude (in concerned competency)
- The eligible candidates shortlisted by the Screening Committee based on their performance in the written test shall be called for presentation/ classroom Lecture/ Demonstration before a group of faculty on a topic given an hour earlier. They will also have to appear for an interview before the Selection Committee.
- Marks Obtained in Part-I (written test) shall be qualifying marks for evaluation of Part-II. Part-II (written test) shall be evaluated only in respect of those candidates who have secured minimum cut off marks as decided by the Competent Authority in Part-I.
Application FeeThe candidates are required to pay an application fee of Rs.1000/- through an online payment.
SC/ ST/ PWD/ Women candidates and employees of NIFT (both regular and on long term contract) are exempted from payment of application fee.
Fee once paid shall not be refunded under any circumstances.
