Applications are invited in the Proforma given (Annexure-f) for the Direct Recruitment of meritorious sportspersons from open market UNDER SPORTS QUOTA for filling the vacancies of the following posts in Karnataka Postal Circle;

Postal Assistant (PA) in Post Offices or Administrative Offices
Sorting Assistant (SA) in Railway Mal Offices
Postman (PM) in Post Offices

c) The candidates will be required to furnish a Certificate of Basic Computer Training from a recognized Computer training institute before issuance of the appointment letter.
d) Candidates should have a valid license of a two-wheeler or light motor vehicle.
Selection Procedure Selection of the candidates will be made on educational and sports qualification and subject to fulfillment of prescribed conditions.
1st Preference:- Candidates who have represented the country in an INTERNATIONAL competition with the clearance of the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports.
2nd Preference:- Candidates who have represented a State/ Union Territory in the Senior or Junior Level National Championship Organized by the National Sports Federations recognized by the Department of Youth Affairs and Sports or National Games organized by the Indian Olympic Association and have won medals or position up to the third place. Between the candidates participating in Senior and Junior National Championships/ games, the candidates have participated and won the medal in Senior National Championship gets preference.
3rd Preference:- Candidates who have represented a University in an Inter-University competition conducted by Association of Indian Universities/ Inter-University Sports Board and have won medals or positions up to third place in finals.
4th Preference:- Candidates who have represented the State Schools in the National Sports/ Games for Schools conducted by the All India School Games Federation and have won medals or positions up to the third place.
5th Preference:- Candidates who have been awarded National Award in physical efficiency under National PhysicalEfficiency Drive.
6th Preference:- Candidates who have represented a State/ Union Territory/ University/ State School Teams at the Levels (II) to (IV) above but could not win a medal or Position in the same order of preference.
How To Apply
Duly filled in applications with all attested copies of certificates and enclosures is to be sent to the following address The Assistant Director (R&E), O/o Chief Postmaster General, Karnataka Circle, Bengaluru - 560001 by Speed or Registered post only so as to reach the office on or before 26th February 2020.
The envelope containing the application shall also be superscribed as "APPLICATION FOR RECRUITMENT TO THE POST OF JA/PA/SA/PM UNDER MERITORIOUS SPORTSPERSON QUOTA IN KARNATAKA CIRCLE".
