IPR has announced recruitment notification for the post of Library Trainee, eligible candidates can submit their application before 16-11-2020.
Required Qualification
- Essential Criteria:- Post Graduate Degree in Library & Information Science from a UGC recognized university (above 55% marks and passed in 2017 or later).
- Desirable Criteria:- Good communication skills in English. Strong interpersonal and intrapersonal skills. Basic working knowledge of IT and IT-related applications used in libraries.
Job Description
IPR has a special well-equipped library with the latest information technology tools, providing specialized services to Plasma Physics and Fusion Science and Technology Community. The selected candidate will get hands-on experience in different library activities such as Acquisition, Circulation, Reference, Inter-Library Loan, managing electronic and online Resources, Information services, etc. and will get exposure to working in a fully computerized library and with new IT tools. Selected candidates will be required to work in Shift.
Selection Procedure
The applications received in response to the advertisement shall be scrutinized on the basis of all criteria like age & educational qualifications and a merit list based on essential qualifications will be prepared and they will be called for a personal interview. The selection of the candidate will be on a merit (interview) basis.
General Information
- Only Indian Nationals need to apply. The numbers of vacancies indicated above are provisional and may be increased/ decreased depending on the actual requirement of the institute.
- Fulfilling minimum qualification & filing online applications does not entail a call for an interview. The authorities reserve all rights, not to call an applicant for an interview, without assigning any reason. In case of any dispute/ ambiguity that may occur in the process of selection, the decision of the Institute shall be final.

- In addition to the consolidated stipend, Medical facility (For Self only) under its Contributory Health Service Scheme, Free Transport (Subject to availability of seats) and subsidized Canteen facilities are admissible for the above post.
- The eligibility criteria with regard to age, qualification, etc. shall be determined as of 01/10/2020.
- No TA will be paid for attending the interview.
- IPR will carry out all correspondence regarding the interview through email only and no postal correspondence will be sent.
