In the good old times, the Police, as per Sir Walter Lawrence, constituted of 1000 village watchmen or “Chowkidars” who were known for their vigilant and inquisitorial abilities. They were mostly drawn from the “Doom” caste of the population known for their excellent detection and transmission of intelligence
Application Fee:
- Candidates need to pay Rs 200/- (Rupees Two hundred only). Pay the Examination Fee through online.
- In case of nonavailability of online payment facility, e candidates may use the option of depositing the application fee through Bank Challan.
Notes:-
- Upon their appointment, candidates who have obtained any loan/stipend under the self-employment scheme or any other category will be allowed to join only in case they obtain a clearance certificate from the concerned department/bank to the effect they have refunded the loan/cleared the liability.
- The candidates shall have to appear in the prescribed tests at their own expenses on the date and venue to be communicated by the Police Recruitment Board. through press or electronic media.
- In case, it is found at any stage of recruitment that the candidate was not eligible for the post, his/her candidature shall be summarily rejected without any further notice to him.
- The selected candidates shall be subjected to prescribed medical examination/checkup through Standing Medical Boards and the appointment orders shall be issued only after receipt of satisfactory medical report and clearance about his/her character/antecedents from CID Headquarters.
- The candidates shall be required to furnish a certificate duly issued by concerned Deputy Commissioner to the effect that he/she belongs to Kashmiri Pandit family, has not migrated from the valley and is presently residing in their concerned District. Similarly. for migrants candidates a bonafide certificate duly issued by Relief and Rehabilitation Commissioner shall be required to deposit at the time of scrutiny of testimonials) documents.
- Candidates already in government service and conforming to the prescribed standards can apply through proper channel after obtaining NOC from their Head of the Department without which the online applications will not be entertained.
