Eligibility Criteria

Post Name Qualification
CAPTAIN/ PILOT (DEPUTY INSPECTOR GENERAL) Officers under the Central Government or the State Government or public Undertaking holding analogous posts or with two years regular service in the grade of Level 13 (Rs. 123100-215900) with twenty years Group ‘A’ service and possessing qualifications and experience specified below:-
A)
(i) Current Airlines Pilot’s License or Current Commercial Helicopter Pilot’s License with Current Flight Radio Telephone Operator’s License with current instrument rating on Border Security Force type of Aircraft or Helicopter (as prescribed from time to time as per requirement); and
(ii) Flying experience to fly Aircraft above all up weight 5700 Kilogram/Helicopter as pilot-In-Command with VIPs as per DGCA norms: and
(iii) Minimum 2000 hours as pilot-In-Command on Multi-Engine Aircraft or Helicopter with 1000 hrs Pilot in command on Border Security Force type of Aircraft; Or

B)
(i) Current Military Flying Category ‘A’/’B’ Master Green rating preferably with DGCA endorsement of Pilot-In-Command on Border Security Force type of Aircraft or Helicopters (As prescribed from time to time as per requirement); and
(ii) Flying experience to fly helicopters as Pilot-In-Command with Very Important persons as per Military Norms; and
(iii) Minimum Pilot-In-Command experience 2000 hours on Aircraft or Helicopters including 1000 hours on BSF type of Aircraft or Helicopters (As prescribed from time to time as per requirement).
COMMANDANT (PILOT) I. DEPUTATION (INCLUDING SHORT TERM CONTRACT)/ABSORPTION
Officers under the Central Government or the State Government or public Undertaking holding analogous posts or with five years regular service in the grade of pay Level 12 (Rs. 78800-209200) with 15 years Group ‘A’ service and possessing qualifications and experience as under:-
(i) Current Commercial Pilot’s License or Commercial Helicopter Pilot’s License Category with Current Flight Radio Telephone Operators License; or Current Military Flying Category ‘B’/Green rating with medically fit flying on Border Security Force type of Helicopter; and
(ii) Current Instrument Rating; and
(iii) Total flying experience of 1000 hours.

II. FOR EX-SERVICEMEN
(i) DEPUTATION/RE-EMPLOYMENT The Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite experience and qualifications as prescribed at I(i) to
(iii) above shall also be considered and such persons shall be given deputation term up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces: thereafter they may be continued on reemployment.
(ii) RE-EMPLOYMENT The retired Armed Force personnel possessing qualifications and experience as prescribed at I (i) to (iii) above and held the analogous or equivalent post in the Armed Forces of the Union and the break-in service should not be more than two years
SECOND-IN COMMAND (PILOT) I. DEPUTATION (INCLUDING SHORT TERM CONTRACT)/ ABSORPTION
Officers under the Central Government or the State Government or public Undertaking holding analogous posts or with five years regular service in the grade of pay Level 12 (Rs. 78800-209200) with 15 years Group ‘A’ service and possessing qualifications and experience as under:-
(i) Current Commercial Pilot’s License or Commercial Helicopter Pilot’s License Category with Current Flight Radio Telephone Operators License; or Current Military Flying Category ‘B’/Green rating with medically fit flying on Border Security Force type of Helicopter; and
(ii) Current Instrument Rating; and

II. FOR EX-SERVICEMEN

(iii) above shall also be considered and such persons shall be given deputation term up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces: thereafter they may be continued on reemployment.
(ii) RE-EMPLOYMENT The retired Armed Force personnel possessing qualifications and experience as prescribed at I(i) to (iii) above and held the analogous or equivalent post in the Armed Forces of the Union and the break-in service should not be more than two years.
DEPUTY COMMANDANT (PILOT) I. DEPUTATION (INCLUDING SHORT TERM CONTRACT) / ABSORPTION Officers under the Central Government or the State Government or public Undertaking holding analogous posts in Level -11 in the pay matrix (Rs. 67700-208700) or with five years regular service in the level 10 in the pay matrix (Rs. 56100-177500) and possessing qualifications and experience as specified as under:-
(i) Graduate with current Commercial Pilot’s License or Commercial Helicopter Pilot’s License Category with current Flight Radio Telephone Operator’s License and current Instrument Rating, or Current military flying category ‘B’ Green or ‘C’ Green rating with medical fit flying on Border Security Force type of Aircraft of Helicopter; and
(ii) Total flying experience of 200 hrs.

II. FOR EX-SERVICEMEN
(i) DEPUTATION/RE-EMPLOYMENT The Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite experience and qualifications as prescribed at I(i) of (ii) above shall also be considered and such persons shall be given deputation term up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces: thereafter they may be continued on re-employment.

(ii) RE-EMPLOYMENT The retired Armed Force personnel possessing qualifications and experience as prescribed at I(i) & (ii) above and held analogous or equivalent post in the Armed Forces of the Union and the break-in service should not be more than two years.
CHIEF ENGINEER (DIG) I. DEPUTATION (INCLUDING SHORT TERM CONTRACT)/ABSORPTION Officers under the Central Government or the State Governments or the Public undertaking holding analogous posts or with two years’ regular service in the grade of Level 13 (Rs. 123100- 215900) in the pay matrix and with twenty years’ of Group ‘A’ service and possessing qualifications as specified below:-
i) Holder of current Aircraft Maintenance Engineer License in Category ‘A’ and ‘C’ or any two categories out of E, I & R with minimum five years’ experience on any two type of Aircraft or Helicopters (As prescribed from time to time as per requirement) operated by Border Security Force; or Holder of Engineering Degree or equivalent in Mechanical or Electrical or Electronics and Telecommunications or Aeronautical stream with minimum five years experience on any two type of Aircraft or Helicopters (As prescribed from time to time as per requirement) operated by Border Security Force; and
(ii) Total Aircraft or Helicopter maintenance experience of twenty years (including fifteen years as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer(As prescribed from time to time as per requirement).

II. FOR EX-SERVICEMEN
(i) DEPUTATION/ RE-EMPLOYMENT The Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite experience and qualifications prescribed shall also be considered and such persons shall be given deputation terms upto the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces; thereafter they may be continued on re-employment.

(ii) RE-EMPLOYMENT The retired Armed Forces personnel possessing qualifications and experience as specified for promotion and held the analogous or equivalent post in the Armed Forces of the Union and the break-in service should not be more than two years.
DEPUTY CHIEF ENGINEER (COMMANDANT) I. DEPUTATION (INCLUDING SHORT TERM CONTRACT)/ABSORPTION Officers under the Central Government or the State Government or public Undertaking holding analogous posts or with five years regular service in the grade of Level 12 (Rs. 78800-209200) in the pay matrix with 15 years Group ‘A’ service and possessing qualifications and experience as specified below:-
(A)
(i) Holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License in any two categories of Avionics Stream (E, I and R); Or Holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License in categories Air Frame (A) and Engine (C) in Mechanical Stream; and
(ii) Total Aircraft Maintenance experience of fifteen years including ten years as Aircraft Maintenance Engineer preferably with experience on Border Security Force type of Aircraft or Helicopter (As prescribed from time to time as per requirements);

II. FOR EX-SERVICEMEN
(i) DEPUTATION/ RE-EMPLOYMENT The Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite experience and qualifications as prescribed at I(A) or (B) above shall also be considered and such persons shall be given deputation term up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces: thereafter they may be continued on re-employment.

(ii) RE-EMPLOYMENT The retired Armed Force personnel possessing qualifications and experience as prescribed at I(A) or (B) above and held the analogous or equivalent post in the Armed Forces of the Union and the break-in service should not be more than two years.
SENIOR AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (SECOND-IN COMMAND)/ SENIOR AIRCRAFT RADIO MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (SECOND-IN COMMAND) SENIOR AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (SECOND-IN-COMMAND)

I. DEPUTATION (INCLUDING SHORT TERM CONTRACT)/ ABSORPTION
Officers under the Central Government or the State Government or public Undertaking holding analogous posts or with five years regular service in the grade of Level 11 (Rs. 67700-208700) in the pay matrix with total eleven years Group ‘A’ service and possessing qualifications as specified below:-
(A)
(i) Holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Examination Certificate or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License in any two categories of Avionics Stream (E, I and R) or (ES, IS and RN); or Holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Examination Certificate or Basic Aircraft Engineer’s Examination License in categories Air Frame (A) and Engine (C) or (HA&JE) in mechanical Stream;

II. FOR EX-SERVICEMEN
(i) DEPUTATION/ RE-EMPLOYMENT The Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite experience and qualifications as prescribed at I(A) or (B) above shall also be considered and such persons shall be given deputation term up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces: thereafter they may be continued on re-employment.

I. DEPUTATION (INCLUDING SHORT TERM CONTRACT)/ ABSORPTION Officers under the Central Government or the State Government or public Undertaking holding analogous posts or with five years regular service in the grade of Level 11 (Rs. 67700-208700) in the pay matrix with total eleven years Group ‘A’ service and possessing qualifications as specified below:-
(A)(i) Holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License or Basic Aircraft Engineer’s Examination Certificate or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Examination License in category ‘R’ / ‘RN’ (Radio and Navigation) with current Radio Telephone Restricted Operator’s License and in any Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s examination License in Avionics Stream (ES or IS);

II. FOR EX-SERVICEMEN
(i) DEPUTATION/RE-EMPLOYMENT The Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite experience and qualifications as prescribed at I(A) or (B) above shall also be considered and such persons shall be given deputation term up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces: thereafter they may be continued on re-employment.

(ii) RE-EMPLOYMENT The retired Armed Force personnel possessing qualifications and experience as prescribed at I(A) or (B) above and held the analogous or equivalent post in the Armed Forces of the Union and the break-in service should not be more than two years.
JUNIOR AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (DEPUTY COMMANDANT)/
JUNIOR AIRCRAFT RADIO MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (DEPUTY COMMANDANT)
JUNIOR AIRCRAFT MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (DEPUTY COMMANDANT) I. DEPUTATION (INCLUDING SHORT TERM CONTRACT)/ABSORPTION
Officers under the Central Government or the State Government or public Undertaking holding analogous posts or with five years regular service in the grade of Level 10 (Rs. 56100-177500) in the pay matrix with total six years Group ‘A’ service and possessing qualifications as specified below:-
(A)
(i) Holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Examination Certificate or Basic Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s Examination License in the relevant category, i.e. ‘A’/’C’/(HA & JE) in Mechanical or E/I/R in Avionics Stream;

II. FOR EX-SERVICEMEN
(i) DEPUTATION/RE-EMPLOYMENT The Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite experience and qualifications as prescribed at I(A) or (B) above shall also be considered and such persons shall be given deputation term up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces: thereafter they may be continued on reemployment.

(ii) RE-EMPLOYMENT The retired Armed Force personnel possessing qualifications and experience as prescribed at I(A) or (B) above and held the analogous or equivalent post in the Armed Forces of the Union and the break-in service should not be more than two years.

JUNIOR AIRCRAFT RADIO MAINTENANCE ENGINEER (DEPUTY COMMANDANT)
I. DEPUTATION (INCLUDING SHORT TERM CONTRACT)/ABSORPTION
Officers under the Central Government or the State Government or public Undertaking holding analogous posts or with five years regular service in the grade of Level 10 (Rs. 56100-177500) in the pay matrix with total six years Group ‘A’ service and possessing qualifications as specified below:-
(A)
(i) Holder of Aircraft Maintenance Engineer’s License or Basic Aircraft Maintenance engineer’s Examination Certificate or Basic Aircraft Maintenance engineer’s Examination License in category Radio Navigation ‘R’ / ‘RN’ with current Radio Telephonic Restricted Operator’s License

II. FOR EX-SERVICEMEN
(i) DEPUTATION/RE-EMPLOYMENT The Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite experience and qualifications as prescribed at I(A) or (B) above shall also be considered and such persons shall be given deputation term up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces: thereafter they may be continued on re-employment.

EQUIPMENT OFFICER/ SENIOR STORES PROVISIONING OFFICER (SECOND-IN COMMAND)  I. DEPUTATION (INCLUDING SHORT TERM CONTRACT)/ABSORPTION Officers under the Central Government or the State Government or the Public Undertaking holding analogous or equivalent posts and possessing degree and other qualifications as specified below:-
(i) One year course in Stores Management or Material Management from a recognized Institute.
(ii) Eleven years’ experience in stores provisioning and knowledge of procedure relating to purchase and imports of aviation goods and modern method of inventory control and in stores accounting and administration.

II. FOR EX-SERVICEMEN
(i) DEPUTATION/ RE-EMPLOYMENT The Armed Forces Personnel due to retire or who are to be transferred to reserve within a period of one year and having the requisite experience and qualifications as prescribed at I(i) and (ii) above shall also be considered and such persons shall be given deputation term up to the date on which they are due for release from the Armed Forces: thereafter they may be continued on re-employment.

(ii) RE-EMPLOYMENT The retired Armed Force personnel possessing qualifications and experience as prescribed at I(i) and (ii) above and held the analogous or equivalent post in the Armed Forces of the Union and the break-in service should not be more than two years.
