Sports Norms for Recruitment

The minimum sports norms for recruitment of sports persons against Sports Quota through Open Advertisement in different Grade Pay and Pay Band for both (team and individual) events shall be as under:-

PB-I	5200-20,200	2400 (Level-4) Or 2800 (Level-5)	Represented the Country in Olympic Games (Category-A) OR at least 3rd Position in any of the Category-B Championships/ events.
PB-I	5200-20,200	1900 (Level-2) Or 2000 (Level-3)	Represented the Country in any of the category-B Championship/ event at least 3rd position any of the Category-C Championship/events.

How to Apply

The link for online application is available at North Eastern Railway's website www.ner.indianrailways.gov.in. Candidate should carefully read all the instructions given in the Employment Notice before filling the online application form.
The online application form should be filled following the step-by-step procedure is given on the webpage. All the required fields must be filled up carefully. Candidates must upload the scanned recent photograph and signature while filling the application form.

Examination Fee

1. For candidates belonging to SC/ ST/ Ex-Servicemen/ PWD Women, Minorities and Economically Backward Classes:- Rs.250/-
Refund of Rs.250/- will be made to the candidates who actually appear in the trial.

2. All other candidates:- Rs.500/-
Refund of Rs.400/- will be made to the candidates who actually appear in the trial.

3. The requisite examination fee should be deposited online as provided on the webpage of the online application form. After depositing the examination fee, the candidates should log in again and take a printout of the application form for his/ her reference.

Recruitment Process

The recruitment will be based on the performance in trial and evaluation of sports and educational achievements.
