Chemist Trainee - 13 Posts
M.Sc. (Chemistry) preferably in Analytical Chemistry in First Class with 60% marks
Should have minimum one-year relevant post qualification work experience/ one-year post-qualification apprenticeship training (in a relevant field) in a Refining/ Petroleum/ Power/ Lube/ Petrochemical/ Fertilizer.
Operator Trainee - 12 Posts
First Class Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Technology (Full-time course approved by AICTE) with 60% marks from a recognized Indian University/ Institute.
Should have the minimum of 5 years' post qualification experience in operation/ process in a large petrochemical plant or a major petrochemical unit within a petroleum refinery.
General Workman-B (Trainee) - CHEMICAL - 63 Posts
First Class Diploma in Chemical Engineering/ Technology (Full-time course approved by AICTE) with 60% marks from a recognized Indian University/ Institute.
Should have minimum one-year relevant post qualification work experience/ one-year post-qualification apprenticeship training (in a relevant field) under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 in a Refining/ Petroleum/ Power/ Lube/ Petrochemical/ Fertilizer Industry, of repute.
General Workman-B (Trainee) - MECHANICAL - 32 Posts
First Class Diploma in Mechanical Engineering (Full-time course approved by AICTE) with 60% marks from a recognized Indian University/ Institute.
Should have minimum one-year relevant post qualification work experience/ one-year post-qualification apprenticeship training (in a relevant field) under the Apprenticeship Act, 1961 in a Refining/ Petroleum/ Power/ Lube/ Petrochemical/ Fertilizer I Engineering Industry, of repute.
General Workman-B (Trainee) - ELECTRICAL - 10 Posts
First Class Diploma in Electrical/ Electrical & Electronics Engineering (Full-time course approved by AICTE) with 60% marks.
General Workman- B (Trainee) - INSTRUMENTATION - 17 Posts
First class Diploma in Instrument Technology OR Instrumentation & Control with 60% marks.
Selection Procedure
The selection methodology will comprise of the following:-
Stage 1 - Written Test:- Shortlisted candidates based on the merit order percentage marks of Post Graduation/Diploma in Engineering, as applicable, will be called for Written Test. The written test will assess the candidates on their technical acumen and generic aptitude including Quantitative Aptitude, Reasoning abilities, General Awareness, and Basic English language skills.
Stage 2 - Skill Test:- Candidates qualifying in the written test as per the cut-off marks decided by the Corporation will be called for Skill Test which will be held at Kochi.
Stage 3 - Pre-Employment Medical Test:- Final appointment of candidates will be subject to their meeting Medical Fitness norms and standards as per BPCL Pre-Employment Medical Examination/ Medical standards as per Oil Industry Safety Directorate (OISD).
