Indian Army Chief Bipin Rawat take-charge as Chairman of COSC

The 27th Chief of Indian Army General Bipin Rawat (age 61 years) take-charge as the new Chairman of Chiefs of Staff Committee (COSC).
Mr. Rawat replaced Air Chief BS Dhanoa (25th Chief of Indian Air Force).
The Chairman of the Chiefs of Staff Committee (COSC) is the head of the Chiefs of Staff Committee. The most senior chief of staff is appointed to serve as a chairman until he retires.
