- Indian freestyle wrestler Rahul Aware (age 27 years) bagged a Bronze medal in Men's 61kg freestyle category. The 2019 World Wrestling Championships was organized at Nur-Sultan, Kazakhstan from 14th to 22nd September.
- Rahul defeated American Tyler Lee Graff by 11-4 to win the medal. With this, It was India’s 5th medal (1-Silver & 4-Bronze) at this edition of the World Championships.
- Earlier today, Deepak Punia (age 25 years) from Bhiwani in men's 86 kilogram category was forced to pull out of the final due to an injury and settled for silver.
