Amit Panghal wins Silver medal at World Boxing Championships

Indian boxer Amit Panghal (age 23 years) won the Silver medal in 52kg category at the AIBA Men's World Boxing Championships. The tournament was held at Ekaterinburg in Russia from 8th to 21st September 2019.
After winning Silver medal, Amit Panghal became the first Indian male boxer to win a silver in World Championships.
In finals, Amit Panghal had lost his game against Uzbekistani boxer Shakhobidin Zoirov (age 26 years), who won the Gold medal in the event.
