- Indian wrestler Bajrang Punia (65 kg category) and Ravi Dahiya (57 kg category) have qualified for the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
- In quarter-finals, Punia defeated Jong Son of North Korea 8-1. Earlier, Bajrang Punia defeated Krzysztof Bienkowski of Poland to progress into the quarter-final of the 65kg freestyle category, where he beat David Habat of Slovenia 3-0.
- Meanwhile, Ravi Dahiya defeated former world champion Yuki Takahashi 6-1 in the quarter-finals of 57kg freestyle event.
- Ravi Kumar started with an 11-0 win in the first round and then defeated reigning Euro champ Arsen Harutyunyan of Armenia 17-6 in the quarter-final.
