UNESCO International Literacy Day 2018 Observed on 8th September


1. 8th September celebrated as International Literacy Day every year, this was declared by UNESCO on 26 October 1966 at the general conference of UNESCO's.
2. Its aim is to highlight the importance of literacy to individuals, communities, and societies.
