- Former Maharashtra footballer Arthur Pereira passes away at the age of 70-years in Mumbai.
- In 1971, Pereira plays the Indian side against Russia as a striker, and he also represented Maharashtra in the Santosh Trophy from 1971 to 1976.
- After his playing career, Pereira became a Physical Education Teacher at St Joseph’s School in suburban Malad.
