Ranjan Gogoi Appointed Next Chief Justice of India 2018

Justice Ranjan Gogoi (63-years-old) is set to take a charge as the new Chief Justice of India on 3rd October 2018.
He was born on 18 November 1954 in Assam, India. Currently, he served as judge of the Supreme Court of India, since April 2012.
Justice Ranjan Gogoi was the Chief Justice of Punjab and Haryana High Court from 12th February 2011 to 23rd April 2012, and
On 28th February 2001, he took a charge of Permanent Judge of Guwahati High Court, Assam.
