- Indian cricketer Jasprit Bumrah (age 25 years) and Smriti Mandhana (age 23 years) won the Wisden India Almanack Cricketer of the Year Award (7th Edition) 2019.
- The other Winners are Fakhar Zaman (Pakistan), Dimuth Karunaratne (Sri Lanka), and Rashid Khan (Afghanistan).
Smriti Mandhana became the third women's cricketer to won the Award, after Mithali Raj and Deepti Sharma.
- The book "Cricket Country: The Untold History of the First All India Team" won the Wisden India Book of the Year 2019. The book was written by Prashant Kidambi and published by Penguin India.
