Former captain Sourav Ganguly elected as 39th President of BCCI


  • Former Indian cricket team captain Sourav Ganguly (age 47 years) has been elected as the 39th President of BCCI.
  • In other appointments,
    i) Jay Shah elected as the new Secretary of BCCI.
    ii) Arun Singh Dhumal appointed as the new BCCI Treasurer
    iii) Jayesh George (President of Kerala Cricket Association) elected as the Joint Secretary of BCCI, and
    iv) Mahim Verma from Uttarakhand became the new Vice-President of BCCI.
  • The elections of BCCI President were held on 23rd October 2019, but Sourav Ganguly is the only candidate to filled his nomination for the BCCI President post, he is set to be elected unopposed.
