Three Indian landmarks won UNESCO Asia Pacific Award


  • Three Indian landmarks won the 2019 UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards for Cultural Heritage Conservation. These historical landmarks are in Mumbai, Maharashtra;
    i) Keneseth Eliyahoo Synagogue at Kala Ghoda,
    ii) Gloria Church in Byculla,
    iii) Flora Fountain at Hutatma Chowk.
  • The award recognized Mumbai's heritage conservation movement under which the three city landmarks were spruced up. The UNESCO Asia-Pacific Awards were given at a function held at Penang, Malaysia.
