Manju Rani bags Silver at World Women’s Boxing Championships

Indian boxer Manju Rani has won the Silver medal in the World Women's Boxing Championships, the tournament is held at Ulan-Ude, Russia.
In final, Manju defeated the Ekaterina Paltceva (Russian Boxer) by 4 -1 in the 48kg category to win the title.
The AIBA World Boxing Championships and the AIBA Women's World Boxing Championships are biennial amateur boxing competitions organized by the International Boxing Association (AIBA).
The first-ever championships were held in 1974 Havana, Cuba as a Men's only event and the first Women's championships were held in 2001.
