Justice VK Sharma becomes new Lokpal of Punjab state

The Government of Punjab state has bee appointed Justice Vinod Kumar Sharma (retired) as the new Lokpal of Punjab for a period of 6-years.
Justice VK Sharma replaced Justice Satish Kumar Mittal, who resigned from the post of Lokpal in April 2018 and became the chairman of the Haryana Human Rights Commission.
From 22nd March 2006 to 26th October 2010, Justice VK Sharma served as Chief Judge of Punjab and Haryana high court. After that, On 24th May 2013, He retired as a Chief Justice of Madras High Court.
