Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar awarded Swachhata Ambassador Award


  • On the occasion of Gandhi Jayanti, Shri Ram Nath Kovind (14th President of India) honored Legendary cricketer Sachin Tendulkar (age 46 years) with Swachchta Ambassador Award.
  • List of National Honors given to Sachin Tendulkar;
    i) In 1994 - Arjuna Award
    ii) In 1997-98 - Rajiv Gandhi Khel Ratna
    iii) In 1999 - Padma Shri (India's fourth-highest civilian award)
    iv) In 2001 - Maharashtra Bhushan Award
    v) In 2008 - Padma Vibhushan (India's second-highest civilian award)
    vi) In 2014 - Bharat Ratna (India's highest civilian award)
  • Sachin Tendulkar is the first batsman to score a double century in an ODI, and the only player to complete more than 30,000 runs in international cricket.
