- Former Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and Uttarakhand, Narayan Dutt Tiwari, passed away in New Delhi on Thursday after a prolonged illness. He was 93.
- He breathed his last at a private hospital.
- Narayan Dutt Tiwari served thrice as the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh and once Chief Minister of Uttarakhand.
- He also served as Union Minister for External Affairs, Finance, Petroleum and Commerce and Industry. He also served as the Governor of Andhra Pradesh.
- Uttarakhand Chief Minister Trivendra Singh Rawat has expressed grief over his death.
