- The provisional gross collections of Direct Tax up to September this year is higher than the collections for the corresponding period of last year. It is 16.7 percent higher at 5.47 lakh crore rupees.
- Finance Ministry, in a release, today said the refunds amounting to 1.03 lakh crore rupees have been issued during April to September this year which is 30.4 percent higher than the amount issued during the same period in the preceding year.
Net collections have also increased by 14 percent to 4.44 lakh crore rupees from April to September.
- An amount of 2.10 lakh crore has been collected as Advance Tax, which is 18.7 percent higher than the Advance Tax collections during the corresponding period of last year.
