- Russian President Vladimir Putin will reach New Delhi this evening on a two day visit to India.
- He will attend the 19th India-Russia Annual Bilateral Summit in New Delhi. During the visit, President Putin will hold delegation level talks with Prime Minister Narendra Modi tomorrow. Both the leaders will deliberate on a range regional and global issues with a focus on further boosting the bilateral ties.
- Several agreements are expected to be signed after the talks. The Russian President will also address the India-Russia Business Summit and will interact with a group of talented children. Before leaving for Moscow, Mr Putin will have a meeting with President Ram Nath Kovind at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
- The last annual summit was held on June 1st last year, during the visit of the Prime Minister Modi to Russia.
- In May this year, Mr Modi had traveled to Russian coastal city of Sochi for an informal summit with Mr Putin during which they discussed a range of crucial issues.
