- Lt General Harpal Singh has been appointed as the Indian Army's new Engineer-in-Chief. He will replace Lt General S. K. Shrivastava on 1st December 2020. Currently, He has been working as the Director-General of Border Roads Organisation (BRO).
- Prior to this, Lt General Harpal Singh was commissioned into the Engineer Corps in December 1982. He commanded a Border Roads Task Force in J&K and has also served as the
- Chief Engineer of BRO’s Project Dantak in Bhutan,
- Chief Engineer (Navy) Mumbai,
- Chief Engineer of Eastern Command.
