- IAS Officer G. Kamala Vardhana Rao appointed as the new Chairman and Managing Director (MD) of India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC).
- Prior to taking up this assignment, Vardhana Rao had served as the Principal Secretary in the Government of Kerala.
In spite of that, he also served as the Secretary of Kerala Tourism in 2014-15.
- The India Tourism Development Corporation (ITDC) is a hospitality, retail and education company owned by the Government of India, under the Ministry of Tourism.
