- Renowned Indian writer Anand has been selected for the 27th Ezhuthachan Puraskaram. It is the highest literary award that has been given by the Kerala Government.
- This award is given by the Kerala Sahitya Akademi Award and it contains a cash prize of Rs 5,00,000/- and a citation.
