- World Health Organization (WHO) and the International Olympic Committee (IOC) inked an MoU to Promote Health through Sport and Physical activity. This partnership will bring together the sports and health sectors at global, regional, and national levels leaving healthy legacy and value of physical activity in host countries.

The International Olympic Committee is a non-governmental sports organization, which was founded by Pierre de Coubertin and Demetrios Vikelas in 1894. Its headquarter is in Lausanne, Switzerland.
