- The World Bank has appointed Carmen Reinhart as its new Chief Economist. She replaced Pinelopi Goldberg, who was resigned from his post on 15th March 2020. Prior to this, She is working as the Advisory Boards of the IMF and the New York Federal Reserve.
- Carmen Reinhart was born on 7th October 1955 in Havana, Cuba. She has done his graduation in BA (Economics) in 1975. After-that, he did his Master's degree in Philosophy from Columbia University in 1981. She has also received her PhD degree from Columbia University in 1988.
- She is also the author of the book "This Time is Different: Eight Centuries of Financial Folly".
