- Lieutenant General Raj Shukla has been appointed as the 22nd General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C) of Army Training Command (ARTRAC). He replaced Lt Gen Pattacheruvanda C. Thimayya, who was the 21st General Officer Commanding-in-Chief (GOC-in-C).

The Army Training Command is one of the seven commands of the Indian Army. Its headquarter is in Shimla, Himachal Pradesh. It was established on 1st October 1991 at Mhow in Madhya Pradesh and after-that, it was moved on 31st March 1993 to Shimla.
The main objective of this command is to maximize the effectiveness of the training.
