Alapan Bandyopadhyay appointed as West Bengal Home Secretary

Mamata Banerjee led Government of West Bengal has been appointed Alapan Bandyopadhyay (IAF-1987 batch cadre officer) as the new Home Secretary.
Bandyopadhyay succeeds Atri Bhattacharya.
Ajit Ranjan Bardhan appointed as the new principal secretary of the North Bengal Development Department (NBDD).
Barun Kumar Ray appointed as the new as the Commissioner of Malda.
Choten D Lama has been shifted to the Backward Classes Welfare Department with an additional charge of the Tribal department.
Gyanwant Singh appointed as the new ADGP (Law and Order).
Jayanta Kumar Basu appointed as the director of the Directorate of economic offenses.
