  • Mamata Banerjee led Government of West Bengal has been appointed Alapan Bandyopadhyay (IAF-1987 batch cadre officer) as the new Home Secretary.
  • Bandyopadhyay succeeds Atri Bhattacharya.
  • Ajit Ranjan Bardhan appointed as the new principal secretary of the North Bengal Development Department (NBDD).
    Barun Kumar Ray appointed as the new as the Commissioner of Malda.
  • Choten D Lama has been shifted to the Backward Classes Welfare Department with an additional charge of the Tribal department.
  • Gyanwant Singh appointed as the new ADGP (Law and Order).
  • Jayanta Kumar Basu appointed as the director of the Directorate of economic offenses.
