- The President of Biju Janata Dal (BJD) Naveen Patnaik take-oath as 14th Chief Minister of Odisha (5th Term), and the longest serving CM of any Indian state.
- Governor of Odisha, Professor Ganeshi Lal has administered the oath-taking ceremony at exhibition ground in Bhubaneswar.
- The final result of Election Commission (EC) shows that the Biju Janata Dal won 112 of the 146 seats. Out of which, BJP wins 23, the Congress 9, the CPI(M) 1 seat, and a solitary Independent was also elected.
